Best Photo
This is a photo of a dock and the water in Fall River where my grandparents live. I believe that this is my best photo that I have taken. The strong points of my photo are line and shape; the way the dock leads your eyes through the whole picture and the contrast of the colors. I took this photo from straight on so it would lead straight through the middle of the photo. This photo is important to me because it is where my grandparents live. To improve this photo I would maybe take it from a different point of view or move closer onto the dock.

Capturing Light
What time of day did you take your photograph?
- I took the first photo of the earring around noon time.
- The light was coming from the side through the window when I took this photo.
- This picture is of my sister wearing the earrings I used for prom last year with her hair curled. I had her stand near the big window in her room so the light was shining in onto the earring.
- There were shadows that accompanied the light. Because the light was shining in from the right side, the left side of the earring and part of the face have shadows casted onto it.

Structure
The word that I chose to unify my photos is structure. I took different pictures of the close up details of flowers and plants that aren't typically photographed. I kept all the photos in color because I felt they looked better that way keeping them all the colors they originally were to show exactly what they look like because they are all different. Having all of the photos be close up and only focused on certain parts of the plants/flowers is what visually unifies them as well as them all being in color. I think the 3 strongest photos are photos 5, 9 , and 10. Photo 5 is of a pink flower and I believe that it is one of the strongest because of the lighting and how each individual piece in the middle is in focus. Photo 9 of the orange flower I chose because of the bright orange color and the white and green out of focus in the background. The last one I thought was one of the strongest was photo 10 which is of a white flower and it is zoomed in and focused on the middle of the flower which is different colors and something I have never seen before. These photos best illustrate my concept because they show the structure of the different flowers close up. The point of views and colors in each photo are what are strong compositionally. When taking each photo i considered distance, depth of field, and position of each flower/plant. I also considered the natural lighting and the colors of what I was photographing.
